Your Response Matters (Video)
What’s your purpose?
We all seek to find purpose, meaning, and happiness in life. Some look to relationships, possessions, success, and even religion, but all of these fall short of bringing true meaning and happiness. We each have a spiritual emptiness in our lives, no matter what steps we take to fill the void. There is only one way to have real purpose, meaning and happiness in this life as well as the absolute hope of eternity in the presence of God. That is through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus is the only way to know God. But there is a problem.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Each of us has sinned (violated God’s commands) and this separates us from God. God is perfect and holy and cannot let sin go unpunished.
You must admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 6:23a “…The wages of sin is death…”
The worst part is that the punishment for our sin is death. We all face physical death, which is a result of sin, but a worse death is spiritual death. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire (Hell) where the spiritually dead will be punished forever.
You must understand that you deserve death for your sin.
Romans 6:23b “…But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Here is the greatest news. God sent his son Jesus to earth. He lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day. Salvation is a free gift from God to you because of Jesus!
God desires that you accept this free gift.
Romans 5:8 “God shows His love for us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!”
When Jesus died on the cross He paid our debt of sin, taking the punishment that we deserved. He paid the price for all our sins, and bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Jesus and what He has done for us through His death and resurrection. Jesus did this so we can have true purpose meaning and happiness in this life and for all eternity.
Give your life to God… His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to have
forgiveness and change.
Romans 10:13 “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!”
Cry out to God for forgiveness, believing in Jesus Christ as the only way and He will hear.
Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
This is the only way to know true purpose, meaning, and happiness, through Jesus Christ.
We are not promised that all of our troubles and pain will disappear. But we are promised that no circumstance will ever separate us from God again. Romans 8:38-39, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
