Boys’ Brigade is a uniformed organization for boys, and provides a balanced program of activities for boys and young men from 6-18 years of age with the goal of developing Christian adults: physically, socially, educationally and spiritually. For more than 75 years, Christian Service Brigade has equipped men in the local church to train up the next generation of godly leaders who understand from observation, teaching, and experience, what Christ-like servant leadership is all about.
Boys’ Brigade meets from September through May on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Gym. The program is achievement-based and the boys have an opportunity to earn badges in areas such as Bible study, memory verses, athletic competition, serving others and wood working. Typical activities throughout the year include going to ball games, hiking, visiting historical places, shooting rifle, and visiting nursing homes. There is a $15 registration fee and dress is casual.
- Stockade is a weekly opportunity for boys ages 6 through 12 to spend time with boys. Adult Christian men serve as role models, demonstrating Christian manhood in action and attitude. A typical evening will include games, Bible lesson and a craft project.
- Battalion is a discipleship-centered program where Christian men build personal relationships with teen boys and mentor them to be effective Christian leaders through Bible studies, service projects and personal leadership experiences. These 13 through 18 year-old young men grow in being leaders by leading their peers in weekly meetings, in the achievement program, in service projects and in various outings throughout the year. Battalion…..because boys will be men.
